Hamlet you'll notice some of the same things tonight. He is a servant leader I'll never forget you 2020 she called me on a day that we were short-staffed to say the least to ask if she needed to come to Oakland to help serve lunches the superintendent called and offered to clear her day to serve Shield just a quick call and offer to help because you doubted my ability she just asked because she's willing to be there it's not for sure it's not for a picture with her it's about doing with the students made 2021 school year doctor Hamlet had a meeting with the food service department to ask how we can improve for the next school year she met with me during that summer to address them boys concern it was honestly one of the toughest conversations I've ever had about my career I considered walking around quitting she told me to trust the process and put in the work and later she help me find ways to support myself and address their concerns and everything I had asked for the year prior in the meeting except for bereavement pay I stepped out on faith and I trusted the process like she always says even though I didn't understand why I should do it the way she said our food service managers and our department as a whole stronger because of it is the superintendent in Fayette County needs right now I've seen her in action through the good times and bad she was there one of my boys passed away she's reached out to me my boy then we lost loved ones including a grandfather parents even the child of an employee who County Public School student she told me to call and she says it. they're can take note from what she has done listen to her don't cut her off when she tries to answer the question you have asked her don't think you know her reasoning when you haven't taken the time to get to know her or her heart some of your nose tonight they might be the outcome you want in the next election this fall at a wedding I want to leave you with this where I didn't know anyone but the bride I made friends with people that sat at my table was from another school district she said she cares about the students and always wants what's best for her District I'm proud to say that I work for someone with that kind of reputation and not only in this County but across the state thank you American homes good evening. I'm sure some of you know I'm going to for Fayette County Schools just graduating class 2023 I want to let you all know I doctor Hamlet is as a superintendent underneath everything is someone who feels the impact of what she does and what you all was bored. I've been in the school system my entire life 18 years been through it sing it all been through 5 superintendents in that time dr. Hamilton has given us the most positive return any superintendent was seen the most growth and most positive returns over the top she's also been the least public of any of our superintendents because she spoke I'm getting stuff done instead of pleasing the people around her and when I when she first arrived to Fayette County Schools she came visited with students and staff all across the county and I became friends with her and of course she was amazing grace you love it and I'm relieved I was one thing I wanted you all to hear this not just because my mother is a school board member this is me as a student speaking on what she has done for the students I'm not the only one who feels this way thank you it's now I'm sorry that that that that Ruby can I do it if you sign up you have to speak show me and Riley show me I'm writing that anyone can mother show me the Robert Rules of Order book if you don't have it in writing and means nothing here I can't take your statement show me in writing show me a Rite Aid in Robinson so how would I know if you have a copy of it show me that's no one can heal their time in the public comment and I've been loyal to you and tell him to tell me but I don't I don't know it happened. I just have a board if I'm doing 3 minutes is the compensation in the Super Nintendo contract you guys did an evaluation for the superintendent in my question to that is is what who gave to the public you did not reach out to any public you did not give us any information so that we could give our regards to the superintendent so I don't understand how you guys came through a Rubik that gave her a hundred percent participation and we should have been asked as a community because any your contract is to me you're in breach of you have performance evaluation that she must be students see the community who did you reach out to who did you talk to about performance you can't just type test for in employees that are her friends that can tell you hear about what's going on did you ask everybody in the community Community who gave you an evaluation of the superintendent in the goals of the school board that is a question that we have and we need to know we need to find out what happened here you guys cannot just vote agenda items because you want something you have to ask the public to put is the Public's money you are using so we weren't a part of the evaluation but it's as per your contract is in her contract that you must seek it aren't you agree to your contract we just need to that question answer is not about the superintendent it's about you following your contract rules as you do everything in this school district you don't just have carte blanche to do what you want and you guys are going to set yourself up for a problem that's what you have done your lawyer is sitting here he understands breach of contract even if he wants to say it or not and for me position what are you doing okay discipline committee I sent a letter to this board I haven't gotten an answer why you are choosing Miss breeding who has been a principal in this district has had plans for racial Behavior against Menards why would you have her on a discipline committee and then miss played at the high school has enough on the hard hat she has to deal with two students that died of overdoses in her she's trying to bring back more Ralph she's trying to fix her building why would you put that pressure on her why wouldn't you choose someone that can create a committee that can look at your things outside of this board I don't understand how you guys are cherry picking who you want to be in position instead of looking to your community to help you if we disagree or not there was no reason for this board to continue in that manner if you're going to do like the young man said in the superintendent is good then why do you guys pick people I'm going to give you good analogy you shouldn't be looking at people that if they give you things that aren't yes what you believe you should be trying to find out how to fix it it's just not okay to continue operating this way in the community it's not okay to ask the food service director for Miss breeding who has been we know who goes around and say she can do what she wants and you guys have to fix it how many minutes on the clock because you guys are doing things that are out of order what you were doing with taxpayer dollars what you was doing for racial in this community what you was doing against schools that are in different areas and give him program two different schools. Violin practices of individual employee what is happening here with your employees the alienation of parents this is an abusive behavior of this board in your employment you have to stop putting your head in the sand you going to create a problem here it is going to be serious problem I don't care about anyone standing up here that's employed by this school district talkin about an election we're not talkin about don't forget the election right now we talked about kids and parents in this school district anyone thinking about the children of this biscuit and when fishing with your pompous attitude for the ones that sit here and act like parents are not important in this school district something is wrong what is wrong search for the board to f*** you could run this District you run this District employee what are you guys going to take that and do something about it ridiculous as a former tear of this board will you restart my time please as a former Vice chair I'm just bored you guys are tasks with almost an impossible task not only are you required tomorrow in your craft also required to listen to your constituents you're required to listen to your teachers your staff your parents your grandparents I came here tonight to speak on behalf of doctor Hamlet I was part of the group that sat around with all of the resumes of all of the individuals that wanted to come our district cuz our district holes trump our district have wonderful teachers wonderful staff awesome parents that's our district there are people who don't have and don't have any skin in the game I don't listen to them they just have an opinion you have to listen to the people that you affect I stand here as a parent of the Fayette County Public Schools as a grandparent and now as a teacher and let me say one thing doctor Hamlet has listened and all of those Arenas when I didn't agree we had to sit down come to a reasonable agreement when I did agree we could move forward the things we look for when we when hiring a superintendent is that we wanted someone with a doctorate we wanted someone who had worked and bull areas I wanted someone who could thread their way through our community but that is not just a one-way Street it takes a community reaching in it takes a community showing up at the meeting and take the community reaching out to the board members and feeling comfortable enough to know that their board members are going to bring their cut concerns and challenges to the full board I am proud of each one of you because I know what it takes to sit up there and not be able to respond I appreciate you I see you but in that regard make sure that when your constituents reach out to you they know that when you come back up in and you sit on that day and that you're speaking for them I am very pleased with dr.
