20/20 yo is an introduction to seesaw for elementary school parents I am 80 all the chief administrative officer for Fayette County Public Schools today what when where and why concerning see Saul in Fayette County Public Schools what is going to be used by students in pre-k kindergarten 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th grade regardless of whether they are being taught in person or being remotely at home it's a platform for student engagement students can show what they know about using photos videos drawing PDF files and links it's simple to get student work in one place and share with families for teachers and nothing is shared without teacher approval seesaw create type powerful learning Loop between teachers and families and once again cease I will be used in Fayette County Public School for both in person and remote learning during the school so what is the well sea salt makes your child's learning and thinking visible by using their Journal using the class app your child can you see draw and record in videos to create reflect and show their learning later on this fall you learn from your teacher about the Family app using the family I app you can sing and celebrate your child's growth when you were at work and your child is learning either at school or away from you you can even leave comments of encouragement you can be a hundred miles away from your child and still see what they're doing and give them encouragement it will allow you to connect to all your children's journals in one flights the Family app is also a way to get one-on-one communication and messages but the teacher you can respond to type messages and receive resources an announcement well orientation week will begin the week of August 10th if you click on seesaw before August 10th you may or may not any assignments or videos there right now the during the first week of school the week of August 10th 2020 your child will get a chance to learn how to use online resources such as sea salt I'm going to give you a chance to get Bill for your child if there's any issues the right or you can't see what's in clever or sea salt your child support login to clever every school day once I log into the first time that they should always is sea salt and remember students can do this at 6 in the morning 10 in the morning 3 in the after or in the evenings or at night time ordering these first 4 and 1/2 Weeks do this at your convenience where was the sub used pictures of students you see saw for both in person and remote instruction when students are on side of buildings teachers and students day when students are learning at home they will also be able to use sea salt where is best used on the tablet like an iPad or a Kindle Fire or something where students can draw like a touch screen but it can also be used on a phone a laptop or a computer however the vice the touchscreen will be pissed using this website http web. Sea salt forward slash platforms you can get information about how to download the Seesaw app on your device notice there are apps that you can use with an iPad or iPhone Android devices through Google Play Chromebooks and even for the Kindle Fire if you're using it on a computer it works best with chrome or Firefox why are we using seesaw in our elementary schools it is for consistency all pre-k through 5 assignment videos and other resources will always be posted in seesaw remember if you have a child that's at East Junior High West Junior High or field those teachers will be using a different platform called canvas teachers domain used in coordination with seesaw so teachers will still be using remind so maybe using eBay or Class Dojo or Google classroom in other schools but remember once you go to clever always go to seesaw first and why are we doing this well when teachers and families work together students achieve together on seesaw we can celebrate and support your child's learning inside and outside the classroom how does sea salt work well step one is to go to clever in login either using the username and password or by using the clever badge using a camera it's built in tablet laptop or phone once you go.
