telephone number beat me up best spaghetti with policies review Palm City section 4 in a part 1 or form 100-4 on 500 there's no revenue office modify alright then Sarah Harmon. good evening Judah purpose as well as on Federal you can have our last meeting that identifies police British brexit all the first rent that we first amendment that we have is 141 the total is 100 and $2,601.08 + this amendment all basically a reallocation money that we spent for insurance, Tennessee risk management trust we have Xfinity and when they Bachelor process it was charged to a different not so again we just move These funds to the lines that we had budget over the appropriate but so was just in and out and all of this one is related to insurance nearest management trucks with 141 1:40 to 7:01 they are homeless Grant we're adding $8,181.25 to the budget and again the description is for youth experiencing homelessness 702 31026 + 6 tencent is a another homeless Grant 2.0 and providing supplies and materials of like fourteen thousand and then also pay for short-term stays hotels so that's a $31,206.10 for homeless students they are p i d a grant assistant secretary as well as the Vans and the total amount of this grant is $225,862.62 they will be 7-passenger Bandit 7 passenger vans and it's two of them is the American president next rent 933 csr2 actually approved the amendment last month or but there was some formula issues with it and so I just had I just resubmitted it again and because that was a calculation issue as far as the totals and sold as a funding by 1 million $4,800.96 and you can see where those adjustments are taking place and Nick's Grant is the literacy Grant 951 21,000 is grad paid for a teacher to take training over the summer the thousand-dollar supplement a stipend for teachers and then we have a 9:53 which is the literacy Network Grant and this grant it's because I had it for a vendor to provide training for teachers and it's all $8 that's the toll that the song of the amendments you're not moving on the financial statements one of the things again that I'll bring to your attention to the fact that you know last month we had a lot of amendment and they have not been posted they were just taken to the County Commission last week I believe and so the cat commission has to prove those items but my intent is to go ahead and post those activity LOL activities where you at if the Amazon post it so we're going to do that but as far as financial statements of concerned right now you may see some things that are squirrely but it same time note that there are a lot amendments that we approve last month that have to be posted good evening Google Now leaving board members I have handed out to each of you all 2 Darkness one is executive the governor's executive order 92 and that is an executive order issued by government this past Friday to 12 that serve to repeal or terminate the effectiveness of the opt-out order issued by Governor Lee under executive order 84 and then you have in front of you an order from the court this is the federal district court in the Middle District of Tennessee style that cases are Kay and many many many other children of listed by their initials versus Governor Lee and Tom misch win on behalf of the Department of Education that order if you'll note in the first paragraph shows that there is an eponym and that's a full evidentiary hearing scheduled for this Friday morning in Nashville at 9 also by 9 a.m. the free CD day on Thursday the parties have got to file their pretrial briefs and submit their witness list those pretrial breach will be available to all School Board Attorneys at some point Thursday morning where we can actually read those opinion those briefs before the lawyers go in and argue their case to put on their case the following morning so we don't know if a decision will be rendered by the court on Friday or not what could take it under advisement now late this afternoon we got an order from the court that transferred this case from Chief Justice not forget his name chief justice Crenshaw to a Magistrate Judge there in Nashville who is a federal judge but the Magistrate Judge will be handling the evidentiary hearing on Friday I'm ninety-nine percent sure that'll be the case whether or not he will issue his or her opinion that day or we will be by later I'm not quite sure but they will be expert testimony taken about the need for masking for immunocompromised children children who are receiving Ada and 504 accommodations so all of that will be so this will be at length hearing on Friday the consensus of all of the school board attorneys is that this case because it is involving children from all three grand divisions that the status quo order currently in place applies to all School Board districts throughout the state and so it is the the consensus opinion of of of all of us that the effect of that is not only is there not a mask mandate listed under the Omnibus legislation I asked signed by Governor Lee on Friday but his opt-out is no longer in effect that was kind of discussion you and I had last night but I talked to everybody it's pretty clear now I think it's from reading executive order 92 there's not only there's no opt out and as a result of the current and it's not an injunction I hate that the judge has chosen to use the word status quo Eddie says the status quo prior to the execution of that or the signing of the deal on Friday so status quo is got to be whatever the status quo was Friday morning so I mean if you take it to its logical conclusion that leaves us with a mask mandate and you know babe county is in a little bit of a unique situation because we I believe I could be wrong about this but I had no other attorneys and I've asked this question multiple times in our conference calls I believe we're the only County with a mask mandate that doesn't have also that extra layer of protection federal court order out of Williamson Knox Davidson in Shelby County no once again you guys will be up in Nashville while all this is going on but the there's been a lawsuit filed yesterday in the fifth circuit where in the where in the Fed 6 circuit which is Kentucky Tennessee and Midwest the fifth circuit which Southern State they have filed a suit to challenge this ETS which is the emergency temporary standard it's been issued by OSHA which clearly states that masking is required in school following the CDC recommendation so that possibly have the capacity to answer but I think we have a mask mandate at this point dr. Hammond I had the very and I couldn't she and I discussed this last night we sent this letter out all the school district Center I don't know if you got the letters that are shown in the Court complaint that was issued by Williamson and some of these other districts they just they're not nearly as if so it's not nearly as professionally done is ours the word I used this polished as a really good word a on your superintendent here's my thing I believe that we go from one thing to another thing to another thing to another thing and what you were talking about earlier Mr Larkin you know what kind of so then my question becomes we sent the superintendent Kodak and we had that conversation last night about how often should we put out and what would that do to our audience for a student or parent who are sad seguidilla come to the conclusion it just to wait a little while because the guardian of our staff student they're still wearing the mask so we're very pleased at what we've seen so far and so it is my recommendation that we just kind of way because if we get into the business of sending a letter I already have a better understanding of exactly where things stand by the end of the day Friday which is not that far away I have a I have another question because in our pack it was our basement policy my question though attorney is we have this face mask policy but then it also social distancing in hand-washing and if you if you're sick stay at home so my question become in all of this does social distancing hand-washing and stay home when you're sick it still applies absolutely and absolutely no risk with isolation of court even though we were under the opt-out man I was thinking last week we were still in a very good situation through very pleased with us I don't want to buy money you know the governor of Alaska Governor said that they was going to cut off all alarms a lower fun if we disobeyed his order on the flip side of that then if you don't fault you going to take care of my who is going to be the guardian of the money in about whether or not some discussion about whether or not our federal funding is available through specific contracts and that's what I was asking doctor Hamid about how what's the flow of Title 1 money what's the flow of the other Federal money most it flows through the state and then to us so that's all a little bit murky at this point but I mean that's an issue that's going to have to be addressed certainly I think by the court system I mean if you read the and there's already been some briefs that have been filed in this case that that that quote some other District judges from other states talking about covid Legend play Dave incompetence because things like this or not clear it up but left very murky Camelot Care Center good evening I'm regarding the Camelot mou Camelot is a Behavioral Health Organization that provides counseling and support services to families in home or in community-based settings throughout Tennessee we would like to provide I think of a wraparound service in additional service targeting mental health issues and situations that students May face and it will provide more intense fear fee to address the unique needs of our student and all students are eligible for parents in most cases insurances will cover and when it doesn't Camelot has a what would you call the phone rings that are available in those instances where families may not able to afford their services western boots do Camelot provides that personnel stations with principles to determine School needs and to determine the therapy schedule and where they will be housed physically in the school correct so they don't have to go to bed now are there Charter School application review I said that we would like to follow up with a 2020 discussion basically the same process we went through right nothing about it Avila soccer schedule let me have your package of all copies of the supplemental schedule spell currently approved in addition you have the athletic supplement schedule that proposed 42223 is a revised schedule shows you. post mount in the difference so I will provide this information so bad as we get into the budget process we want to be able to consider all these supplements and incorporate these with your recommendations now there's an additional related to Target yes okay all right okay acid for the Academic Decathlon $500 / $500 situation what is that if there are some supplements that you see currently that you need to feel the need to increase then of course if you identify those and then let us know when and you all decide that then we definitely can do that we may have some of these programs to you we may not have an individual there so that is a possibility but currently so again said that there is a desire to do a upgrade on a self been at this particular point for this school year then he just required for the action to go ahead and approve that change 2 Chainz but what's the reason for the okay this is coach Lowe's supplement our coaches to the district it has been a while but maybe three years I guess that change but this is what he is recommending and warning for yourself in some cases see where there's a real concern I think I know you don't have the title 9 issues that we have to be concerned about 11 so we have one issue which is to approve a schedule to Incorporated the budget for the next school year and then we have the issue of our there are some actions that you feel are needed currently in regard to this supplement schedule and that begin with the wife of action to note upgrade at the justo what can you distinguish last for okay so I understand what you want and I'll have that for you all right I'm not a sports person so I don't know how but this is an addition to their salary one semester and how long would it be in the play at the wheel just again are there certain goals that they have to reach to get this they just get it because they just put in for a particular sport and you know it's not just for that season you put in and say that you're getting a supplement say even $1,200 free download High School level we got $1,200 for baseball assistant softball assistant $1,200 and so there are no stipulations as far as the success of the team because of again you know dedicated to the point that they will put in time in order to be successful weather I'm just thinking the very first one athletic support how many how many people are we talking about again do your athletic director one person is over all of these Sports one time we have two or three okay you know I would recommend trying to increase that song this kind of that's what they would make him back when I started in 67 if possible I think I should get more than that both high school and Elementary so we can come back with a recommended amount now my question is again if there is a specific that you see right now that needs to happen or do we need to I get to you I know that we want the academic to receive some reward for what they've done to this point so I will bring that at the next meeting I'll bring it to you for the board meeting and though there are none other than those two then the question is all about approving the salary is on the schedule for the next year so we can incorporate into the budget okay my question is I have it I'm like a horse but I don't know about how much they get paid as a supplement is there a schedule like I know how much teachers make a crossbow area region is there a schedule that tells me that you know our athletic support person is within range of what the person would make for a school district I don't know how to phrase that okay or we would not necessarily guessing what I told Coach load back in probably April or February or March at some point is that I needed him to go out and talk to his contemporaries and find out about where they are and bring me back a schedule and so this is what he brought back and I have full confidence that he can I bring something back that's going to be too too low as far as what's going on in the region because of you know he's been pushing for Saturday creature for his coat and this is your supplements to look at what the entire salary is if he believes that this makes us more compare please adjust salary you know we have to teach your sister's making less than $15 an hour and those teachers sisters are required to have two years of college or past and so you know they can go somewhere else and make it so we really got to step it up again they are required to have to use college is Willow pass the test and an alignment along with that of the cost of floor is solo for our teacher sisters we can't raise our son because if we do the subs are boring or teachers that are licensed those that have you not have degrees they would actually be making more possible than a teacher assistant we got the raise I teach your sisters up so that we can raise our subs out and I think that that would be a fair thing to do for those positions and their positions that are we looked at let me like the increase this year bye-bye bonus and next year we would like to incorporate those into a salary supplement of some sort you know when our who buy houses that come to the central office they got paid the same as a classroom teacher are paid based on their degree in their experience the only additional money they filming the responsibility is it lawful to being over. Is that a extra days to work so they're not compensated for their responsibility they are giving more days to come to work but nothing related to their responses a teacher that a person that comes from school with a master's degree in 10 years will make the same thing as a person in the school with a master's degree in a GNU are you not going to go get together and make us a recommendation so we would like to do that as well we have something in place now for teachers that are classroom when teachers are out in subs and not available and we are paying teachers for July Danelle of planning TeacherTube LOL retaining I'm all for that as well clear that is well for the teachers so you know something where we going to try to get to everybody but we can't get the everybody at the same time and so these are specifically identified because of what they are now we know that and we don't know for sure but we haven't really gotten into talk about teacher salary increases for next year we don't know what it is but so we're really not talking about that just yet but this group of all employees teacher assistants again nobody special ed population allow them require wonder One Pre-K students require a DNA adult student ratio and if we can't keep people at Trinity pain then you know we have a boys BB compliance so but this is one of those areas that I think that you know we have a president recently I said that they did came to work and get paid today I can work as a teacher assistant and then they can go somewhere else so that's the reason why I'm making mention of them because of that but we do it may not go straight to 15 but it needs to be a 5th or that you know we're not going from basement there by 12 I mean I go from 12 to 15 but we ought to go over to McKinney everybody's everybody's everybody's everybody's trying to be inclusive and include everyone as if you do it all give me commentary on Billy mister no message. what I saw here in the package I think you should come by and get them questions for this. comments I don't know oh no cuz I think it covers at work what are the criteria for McGuire Miss watching a no alright then bored and workshop packet online our last meeting and what I would like to do at our regular meeting with a vote on this is be able to present a motion that would change Line 6 seven on policy 1.403 to read is yellow bear with me just a moment documents with the exception of but not limited to the fcpa Personnel report which she could pull that's if she felt like that was sensitive in and I'm not here to go out she'll be as to how she thinks easier for her to do cuz I think this responsibility is going to fall on her Lubbock inspection and or distribution when it's distributed to the board members. Out there to put the package alarm inspection and or distribution Network hey can we do the superintendent and she doesn't have time to take a look at it CPS recommendation got to go through to you bingo bingo December and January you're not moving on I'm going to go shower cuz I'm sure you have about this feeling shelter near the high school so it was my thinking that maybe we should take a position on that I'll leave you alone whatever the board thinks you know my thinking was if we were supposed to let you know that had a place to build it near the Justice complex but now I'm because they can save money move it out there right across the street Health Department my thinking is I'm opposed to it in if you're bored and you're so I think we should send a letter to the mayor of saying that we would strongly recommend that they seek Google location to build a animal shelter worldometer look at it again and it came by how much money they spent over there that new site and even the mayor said the money spent was negligible negligible it was ready for something else but I mr. Wilson I have gotten those emails I ain't got any calls but you emails asking us to not allowed to be placed by the high school and I think you said stand against it because they are facing how do they work before we get back I think it went to the Health and Welfare of November well now I'm ready to go Rescue Mission meeting with a boat again cuz it already went back to the committee. The weather won't get there but that's what I'm trying to do how do we how do we handle that situation December 23rd on my calendar now that the Lord I don't think we can and you know what we're not going to have a meeting today and I just think you just for that I'm sorry we had Invaders want to make out all of commitment to its she can fold a board members see who's in favor do it a little curiosity if nothing else for public school I think about those dog so you don't know what you going to have a mixture of all that and I think you know you just got too much about a standard edition. Chief Operating Officer good evening good evening I'm a couple things to you Milk Pail in the principal said quite a bit of time we were together with you and I discipline flame work for both the prepaid advised by the 5th grade through 12th grade evidently there were several forms out there were being used by different School another word for consistent consistently say we met with the elementary principles and the secondary principals to come up with a uniform on discipline framework Elementary we speed up your pretty quick and one day but we have to meet a couple times on the secondary I'll portion the secretary had eight steps of the time and were reduced it to 4 which is more in line with what the Elementary on a cycle is also all we did was remind the different fraction with the possible different repercussions for those infractions as you can see a levels 1 2 3 and 4 on both sheets and we just want to make you aware some of the changes that occurred or modifications that have occurred if you keep it in line with both policy and appropriate discipline for 8 so that was the point of those meeting over started out because we recognize that there were multiple phones being used by different principles which was not right that was inconsistent so we we were driving to get some consistency and when they go to jail a consistent form to everybody can look at it and see the same thing just money I'm taking the punishment are we already answered well if it isn't you guys can take out the policy but it's still there and so that was a question that came up who's using it if someone does use it they have to do a full to the superintendent but as of right now Lee County schools that is still a policy that can be used oh yeah. but as of right now she has to have that policy the policy that says down the steps that must be taken before you can use for phones my antibiotic well it's in the principal will explain that to you when your call if you know a parent is called a child minister is corporal punishment for the parent signs off on that and so one great thing that we practice a Behavior Support that we put in intervention in place before we get to the to the measures of the week was high. here in the district this year but prior to my arrival there were the numbers were very what is Anna level 1 what is public display of affection restaurants I really like the fact that my grandbaby hooked people I'm just trying to figure out and we are on the secondary I guess question by general question would be is there a discussion amongst everyone that would be disciplinary actions of what these things mean what is the definition what is the definition no disruptive behavior org material causing classroom disruption you know me because I might you know anybody it'll be good for me somebody shaking hands what's Easter and that's Kobe the challenge these things because you can't identify specifically all the are there to the curve at some point you got to have some judgment as a principal or teacher when we do these things I mean we can't identify if hugging on the leg of offenses than one person versus another person not to do with my time than to keep that's problem and they kept losing situation situation where you can find interaction once again I understand inappropriate but that's not what this says it is public display of affection and I just chose that because it seemed very broad to me and my question was is it one trained or have an idea of what this is use of profanity and inappropriate language was an adult if you know somebody is feeling kind of funny in there reading a book and it's got a curse word and I don't know who that happens. everybody is trained on what to look for in fractions what is your wife it up and then send it to the principal for the for the principal issues the infraction I'm in office when dr. Michael Brown train this time she trained and they want over some of them out correct. So they went over these infractions School it is kind of like second nature I was thinking that the principal find a question before we do we issue the instruments for corporal punishment I don't know how he got your we have an interest this year I want to look at that but they are in a lawsuit if you're not following that you automatic based on the slogan we can look at that policy that would be my wish but I will ask if they do issue it I'll have to get the measurements of with a the instrument that you emergency operation plans and I are putting together y'all at the district we're late for those plans will be being with EMA once all that together because there's no good to have these plans if we don't communicate to the other stakeholders in the people that might be responding to our emergency situation so that's all they process we try to get what's up David and their binders for each school with the EOP plans and once again I will be collaborating with EMA a sheriff's department and local police departments is applies to make sure it helps take or First Responders aware of what we have in place and can add to it as they see fit and then they need to respond building layout the lockbox is on a school that they have a key to get into schools if necessary we taking no steps on it cyber security assessment we're in the midst of assessing our cybersecurity as you know we hold a lot of data on a lot of people go to students we want to try to close those gaps in their we can't we know we know that schools are big Target for cyber stuff and of course we have soccer insurance but that's a reactive measure water be proactive and how we try to prevent cyber attacks is there more more prevalent every day at school is always a big Target giving all the data that we keep on on many people I've engaged an organization to look at our Stadium Switching gears out of my bleachers I needed to stay are not in good shape out there we really really really really do need to pay attention to that it could be a little hesitant at some point as we do every year we replacing board and we really just need a minor upgrade in our Stadium Press Box and things of that nature so hopefully I have some quotes pretty soon on with that man caused this but that's just something I think we need to pay attention to and then hopefully we can use more than just football games Stadium we can do many many other events their communities and things of that nature if we did have something that out we feel comfortable with retired made an offer to hire additional security person at pay it where you've actually engaged lady officer security officer with experience in that area and made it off of her and I hopefully she'll accept it because we do need a lady officer at Fayette Ware High School to help with us Southwest Elementary the current nurse that was there taking time off to finish her a teaching credential so hopefully I can turn around be a benefit back to us when she finishes her credentials another situation Food Service I noticed we don't have any freezer mom turn the cooling temperature monitors on anybody quipment if the temperature drops below a certain temperature we should be notified so most places with commercial equipment like that has notification if something goes wrong with this someone could be notified this summer where the freezer go down we could have lost 30 to $40,000 worth of perishable items because it's freezing temperature well fortunately we're just come back and work in the school yet but people are figure that out and we hauling it to a different location understand two years ago we lost $10,000 worth of items because nobody knew that the freezer temperature went down so there's technology drops below a temperature that it should be you can mean I really need to implement that I don't think it'll impact on 141 and 142 of the hippie are you at the game money do that but we really are behind not having that type of technology for our equipment and so will the zoom calls today is Mother's Day is going on with this funk and key but we really really need to get that information because we are at risk over the holidays or any other time you even the weekend at the temperature drop below losing a lot of items we also an additional cameras in a couple schools are through the school safety grant that the hovel is working with us as we continue to try to manage the budget to make sure we're doing everything we can for students and safe we're investigating a busier entry program Raptor pretty for me with it and I've been on several calls where someone's visiting a school would have to put their ID card in the machine and could tell a offender you can play people who are and in court orders not see their kids we have that quite a bit where certain family members are supposed to come in the schools but it's hard for us to identify this is something that they need in order to make sure that we're doing all we can play those persons who should not been at schools on once you're cleared to get a little sticky bag that you can put on some people know that you're authorized to be in the school right now people come in and we don't know if they should be or not but we don't know that they could be clear but we don't alright we'll just wait we're looking to try to identify things of that nature little bit better on a while back about the crossing guard at Oakland we are trying to address that with more signing with that is a state route I need to add additional signage we're working through to try to get some some more approvals to do that along with the Oakland Police Department is collaborating with us on that also anything else I was just like personally I really appreciate the time you take what's going on out there and I thank you for that coming by Oakland Elementary sunset this time of year look very nice as well live the front of the building looks very nice commend you for the war well thank you for the course has the groove so not too long ago megagear for specific electrical the first one that did was to the athletic department and this one Junior ROTC program starting Halo young men and women that are in their realize what he's trying to do for them the potential that it offers them for future service and to help them grow as the service did for me when I went through a long time ago tell her to lock the door little the Roses between I like that I'm Stylin can you tell in your eyes Tennessee Penn State record Saturday if they agree to where I blew my new blue shirt
