Social Worker Interns 2020-2021

Intern 2De'Metri Dones received his Associate's degree in Allied Health Science in 2017 from Southwest Community College. He's currently obtaining his bachelor's degree in Social Work from LeMoyne-Owen College, graduating this Fall 2020. De'Metri is a resident of Memphis, TN.  He's passionate about social justice, suicide prevention, and football. He's very grateful to have the opportunity of applying his skills and knowledge among the Student Support Specialists in Fayette County Public Schools.

Regan obtained her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2018, and she is expected to graduate in May 2021 with her master’s in social work from the University of Tennessee. She is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and has an interest in working with youth involved in the juvenile justice system. In her free time, Regan enjoys binge-watching Netflix and traveling with friends and family.

Kimber Finnie received her Associates  degree in Sociology in 2014 from Dyersburg State Community College. She's currently a senior at the University of Tennessee at Martin studying the field of Social Work. She's looking to gain knowledge and experience in the path of social work in hopes to work with children and make a difference in their lives. Her hobbies include cooking, listening to music, reading, writing poetry or short stories, doing community service of any kind and above all, laughing and spending time with family and friends.

Sarah Morgan is a senior social work major at The University of Tennessee at Martin where she's currently working towards her bachelor's degree. She has previously interned with UT Martin Student Health and Counseling and LHC Group Hospice. Her hobbies include photography, watercolor painting, and running. After she graduates she hopes to begin working in the field of geriatric social work as well as possibly working towards her master's degree.
