FCPS Holds Professional Development for All Librarians

Director of Technology Marlon Hill held a professional development at Fayette-Ware on Thursday with all FCPS Librarians. It was a very informative professional collaboration between the librarians and the FCPS Technology department. Topics discussed included the new web-based library software "Alexandria" that all librarians in the district are using beginning this year. All librarians were assigned new android tablets. These tablets will be used with handheld scanners to scan books on the shelf for inventory purposes.

Presenters included Marlon Hill, Director of Technology and Heather Holmes, Southwest Elementary School Librarian. They were hosted by Fayette-Ware High School Librarian Cathy Stanz.
